Robot Mower Error Codes: Navimow, Mammotion, Husqvarna, Worx Lookup Table

Find your code, read the meaning, do the first fix

Each of the four brands on this page tells you what went wrong in a different way. Navimow shows a four-digit number. Mammotion pushes a three- or four-digit fault code to the app. Husqvarna uses plain-English messages (“Trapped,” “No loop signal”). Worx uses E-numbers on the classic Landroid and a longer E-list on the Vision line. Every row below comes from a manufacturer manual or support page, linked in the table footer. If a code is not here, we did not find it in an official source, and you should check the app’s own description before trying anything. Across all four brands the pattern is the same: most codes clear with “remove the obstruction, put the mower on flat ground inside the boundary, press STOP, restart.”

Before you look anything up

Three things fix a surprising share of robot mower errors regardless of brand:

  1. Power it off, clear the deck, power it on. Grass wrapped around the blade disc or a wheel is behind most “motor” and “blocked” codes. Wear gloves. Husqvarna’s Wheel motor blocked article is literally three steps: turn off, clean the wheels, restart.
  2. Put it on flat ground inside the boundary before you clear the error. Navimow’s manual says this for a dozen codes. Clearing an error while the mower is tilted or outside the map just triggers the next one.
  3. Check Wi-Fi band and battery before blaming firmware. Mammotion’s support site says LUBA “only supports the 2.4GHz WiFi connection.” Navimow’s manual lists “the Wi-Fi network is not 2.4 GHz” as a cause of connection failures. Both brands want a charged battery (Navimow says 50 percent or more) before an update.

Positioning errors (“weak signal,” “poor positioning,” Float instead of Fix) are a separate subject with their own fixes. We cover them in RTK signal lost: causes and fixes.

Segway Navimow error codes

Navimow mowers show “E” plus a four-digit code on the display and a pop-up in the app. Pressing STOP clears the code so you can fix the cause. The table is from the H-series user manual V2.1 (April 2023), the most recent Navimow manual we could locate with a full code list. The i-series manual uses the same four-digit convention but refers you to the app for meanings. Newer models (i2, X3, X4, H2) may add or renumber codes; if your app’s description differs from this table, trust the app. “First fix” is our shortening of the manual’s text.

4208(i2 AWD, Network RTK mode) Mower lost connection with the charging station for an extended periodListed in Navimow’s i2 AWD support FAQ, no fix text given. Restore the dock link and restart
Sources: Navimow H-series User Manual V2.1, section 5; Navimow i-series User Manual; Navimow i2 AWD support FAQ (code 4208). Codes 8001 to 8006 apply only when a VisionFence sensor is fitted. Codes 1006, 1007, 1011 to 1017, 3009, 4002 and others are not listed in the manual.

Two patterns worth noticing. Any 6xxx code is a position or motion problem, and the manual’s answer is nearly always the same: flat ground, inside the boundary, STOP, MOW+OK, and turn repeat-offender spots into off-limit islands. Any 5xxx code is about the charging station or its antenna cable. If you see 5001 or 5005 after a storm or after mowing near the dock with a string trimmer, check the antenna cable first.

Mammotion LUBA and YUKA fault codes

Mammotion sends fault codes as app notifications with a cause and a suggested step. The LUBA 2 AWD manual lists only “the most common issues.” The table is short for that reason. YUKA and LUBA 3 share the app; we have not seen a published code list specific to them. The positioning statuses below come from Mammotion’s support center and are the thing owners ask about most.

CodeCause (manual wording)First fix
316The left cutting disc motor is overheatingWait. It returns to normal once the motor cools, which can take several minutes
318The sensor for the left cutting disc motor has failedRestart. If it persists after a few restarts, contact support
323The right cutting disc motor is overloadedCheck for a jammed disc and clear it, or raise the cutting height
325The right cutting disc motor fails to startCheck for a jam. If clear, restart; contact support if it persists
326The right cutting disc motor is overheatingRestart. Contact support if it persists after a few restarts
328The sensor for the right cutting disc motor has failedRestart. Contact support if it persists
1005Low batteryLet it charge. It resumes at 80%

Mammotion positioning status (the “POS” screen)

The app shows a positioning status, satellite counts for the robot (R), the reference station (B) and the satellites both can see (C, “co-viewing”), plus a signal-quality grade. Mammotion’s support article defines the statuses:

StatusMammotion’s definitionCan it mow? What it usually means
FixAccuracy under 10 cm, down to 2 cm with open skyYesNormal
FloatAccuracy about 50 to 200 cmNoRobot or reference station cannot see enough satellites, or signal quality is “weak” or “bad” because of trees, walls or fences
SingleMeter-level accuracyNoWith reference-station satellites at 0 and connection “None” or “Weak”: no correction data is reaching the robot. Check the station’s power and radio antenna
NoneNo positioningNoRobot sees no satellites. Is it indoors, or is its rear covered by metal? Also check whether the reference station is off, flooded, or missing its radio antenna
Source: Mammotion support: About the NEW positioning information; What to do with the error Poor Positioning Status. Mammotion notes that a reading of more than 20 co-viewing satellites can still produce Float if signal quality is weak.

For the “Poor Positioning Status” error itself, Mammotion starts with two steps. Confirm the reference station is in open sky with a solid green LED (if the LED is off, check the power cable and adapter). Then look for obstacles behind the robot where it stopped, and edit the boundary to keep it away from them. The third step is sending a video, a POS screenshot and a log through the app. Also note the support warning. If you move the reference station, you must delete and recreate the map. The whole map is built relative to the station’s position.

Husqvarna Automower error messages

Husqvarna does not surface numeric codes to the owner. The Automower Connect app and the mower display show short messages, and each has its own support article. Here are the ones with published causes and fixes. For messages that cannot be cleared remotely (STOP pressed, tilt, collision), Husqvarna’s restart and reset guide explains the on-mower sequence: press STOP, enter the PIN, select start. A factory reset keeps the PIN, loop signal, date and language; a full wipe “like on a smartphone” is not possible.

MessageMeaningFirst fix
No loop signalMower cannot read the boundary wire signal (on older models and Aspire R4, also the guide wire)Look at the dock LED. Flashing blue: broken wire or loose connection at the station. Solid blue: wire connected but faulty. Check wire ends are fully inserted and contacts clean, then search for a break. Max wire distance is 35 m (115 ft), 15 m for Aspire R4
Wheel motor blockedGrass or an object wrapped around a drive wheelTurn off, clean the wheels and around them, restart
Cutting system blockedSomething is stopping the blade discFree it from the root or trampoline leg, clear grass from under the deck, check grass height (max 10 cm for most models, 6 cm for NERA/Aspire R6V, 4 cm for Aspire R4 and 105) and slope limits for your model
TrappedMultiple loop or collision events in a short timeMove it clear, remove the obstacle, restart. If it always happens in one spot, add a stay-out zone or island. Check the work area is not too narrow
Upside downInclination sensor reads too high for safe operationRight the mower. If it keeps happening, the slope is beyond spec; exclude it with a stay-out zone or move the wire
Outside work areaLoop signal says the mower is outside, not insideWire too close to a slope or obstacle (keep 35 cm margin), wire connected to the wrong pin, or an island wired in the wrong direction. On EPOS models, the virtual boundary is too close to an edge
Collision sensor problemCollision sensors are activatedFree the mower, brush debris from between body and chassis, make sure the body sits correctly and moves freely, check grass height and cutting height, check wheels, then restart
Charging station blockedMower cannot dock after several attemptsClean the charging strips and contact plates, clear the docking path
Empty battery / won’t chargeBattery too cold, too hot, or too deeply discharged after storageBring it indoors, put it on the station and leave it several hours. See also “Battery temperature outside limits”
Reference station communication problem (EPOS wire-free)Mower lost contact with the EPOS reference stationCheck the station’s power, restart the mower, unplug the station for one minute. On large or hilly lawns the signal may not cover everything: move the station, add a stay-out zone, or ask a dealer about a second station
Sources: Husqvarna Self-Service articles for No loop signal, Wheel motor blocked, Cutting system blocked, Trapped, Upside down, Outside work area, Collision sensor problem, Charging station blocked, Won’t charge / empty battery, Reference station communication problem. Husqvarna also publishes articles for Wheel drive problem, Wheel motor overloaded right/left, No drive and Alarm! Mower stopped; we have not summarized those here.

Husqvarna’s error list is wire-centric because most Automowers in US yards are still wire models. The one wire-free message, Reference station communication problem, is the EPOS equivalent of Mammotion’s Single status: the correction link is down.

Worx Landroid error codes

Worx has two code sets. Classic Landroids (M, L, S, and the current Vision Cloud’s wired predecessors) use E1 to E9 plus F1 for rain delay. Landroid Vision models use a longer list that reflects the camera. Both come from Worx.

Landroid classic (boundary wire models)

CodeMeaningFirst fix
EEError unknownContact Worx customer service
F1Rain delayNot an error. It starts after the rain stops and the delay expires
E1Boundary wire missing, or Landroid outside the wireIf it really is outside: power off, carry it inside, power on, start. If it is inside and the dock LED is green, the wire ends are reversed; swap them. If the LED flashes, check wire connections and look for a cut
E2Wheel motor faultPower off, move to a clear area, power on. If it repeats, flip it over and check nothing is blocking the wheels
E3Blade motor faultPower off, gloves on, flip it and clear the blade disc. Move to shorter grass or raise the cutting height
E4TrappedPower off, move to an obstacle-free area, power on. Check wheels if it repeats
E5LiftedPower off, move to a clear area, power on. If it repeats, check nothing is holding the front casters down or up
E6Upside down (tilted)Turn it upright
E7Battery charge errorBattery over 55 °C: move the dock to shade. Too cold: it is winter storage time. Also check the dock pins against the charging strip and that the dock is on flat ground. If none of that, the power supply may be dead
E8Find-home timeoutCarry it to the dock. On WR155, the manual ties this to boundary wire over its 984 ft maximum
E9Mower lockedEnter the PIN. Worx’s wiki has a per-model walkthrough

Blades and wheels are the mechanical majority. Every manufacturer’s first instruction is the same one: turn the power off before you put a hand under the deck. Positioning is the one that frustrates people because nothing is visibly wrong with the mower; the problem is the sky above it. If you are still shopping and your yard has heavy tree cover, that is the single best reason to read RTK vs LiDAR vs vision before you buy.

If a code repeats in the same place, every one of these manuals says the same thing in different words: stop fighting it and draw a no-go zone, stay-out zone, island, or off-limit area around it. A mower that skips one tree root is doing its job. One that stalls there three times a week is not.
